Proven Winners Becomes Exclusive Source for Sweet Caroline SeriesSource: Proven Winners LLC

North Carolina State University recently put the license for ipomoea Sweet Caroline up for a bid open to all interested parties, and it selected Proven Winners North America as its exclusive licensee on July 10. The decision granted the exclusive rights to Sweet Caroline, Sweet Caroline Sweetheart and Sweet Caroline Bewitched varieties – as well as the Illusion series – to Proven Winners, beginning with the 2010 production year.

Liners will now be available from all Proven Winners North America propagators through every major plant broker. Orders can be placed through usual salespersons, and unrooted cuttings of these varieties will be available to Gold Key customers as well.

Preferred brokers will confirm product availability. The current Sweet Caroline and Illusion series will be available as follows:

• Sweet Caroline: Bronze, Green Yellow, Green, Light Green, Purple and Red
• Sweet Caroline Sweetheart: Light Green, Purple and Red
• Sweet Caroline Bewitched: Purple
• Illusion: Emerald Lace and Midnight Lace

In the coming year, Proven Winners will expand global exposure to consumers and enhance advertising and editorial submitted to publications. The series will be marketed in the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. Arrangements are still being made for Australia and South Africa.
