Rose Documentary Released
Love at First Sight: America’s Love Affair with the Rose, a documentary released by All-America Rose Selections (AARS) that looks at the United States’ national flower, premiered at the 2006 Garden Writers Symposium in Valley Forge, Pa.
The film looks at roses through the eyes of breeders and reveals many of the secrets behind the blooms, such as the work that goes into creating plants that will flourish in today’s gardens. Viewers will also meet rose hybridizers and learn what it takes to win a plant trial.
Anyone interested in purchasing a DVD copy of Love at First Sight: America’s Love Affair with the Rose can visit www.rose.org. The DVDs are $7 each; AARS will discount bulk orders of 10 or more.
