Save the date, and prepare to go wild in the Pacific Northwest: 2010’s 28th Annual Perennial Plant Symposium will take place July 18 to 24, 2010, at the Lloyd Center Doubletree Hotel in Portland, Ore.

Feel the cool ocean breezes, climb the mountains and revel in the summer flowering season – then explore wholesale nurseries and retail garden centers that are using cutting-edge technology to bring interesting and unusual perennials to market.

According to the organizers, “Whether you are a grower, retailer, landscape designer or horticulture educator, you will benefit from a week spent with nationally recognized perennial experts.” During this educational week, you’ll have the opportunity to tour perennial nurseries and independent garden centers or take classes on growing and business practices. You can also mingle and network with horticultural companies and nursery professionals.

For more information, visit or stop by the Perennial Plant Symposium booth (#11124) at the FarWest trade show, Aug. 20 to 22 in Portland, Ore. You can learn how you can become an exhibitor, sponsor or attendee from one of the local committee members volunteering at the booth.
