Syngenta Introduces New Fungicide Formulation for MedallionSource: Syngenta

Syngenta has announced that Medallion WP fungicide has been reformulated from a wettable powder in a water soluble bag to a new water dispersible granule formulation known as Medallion WDG fungicide. Medallion WDG will replace Medallion WP in the ornamental market.

On Oct. 3, Syngenta announced that Medallion WP fungicide has been reformulated from a wettable powder in a water soluble bag to a new water dispersible granule formulation known as Medallion WDG fungicide.

Medallion WDG will replace Medallion WP in the ornamental market.

“The new Medallion WDG formulation provides ornamental growers with the same high level of control they trust from the Medallion brand, but now it’s easier to mix and measure,” said Scott Lawson, market manager for Syngenta. “With low use rates, long-lasting control and user-friendly formulation, Medallion WDG offers reliable protection with better flexibility to meet growers needs.

It can be used from seedling to final production and is an ideal tank-mix partner with Subdue Maxx fungicide for complete disease protection.

“Medallion WDG delivers powerful defense against the major foliar, stem and root diseases affecting ornamentals, such as Alternaria, Botrytis, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, Sclerotium and Cylindrocladium spp.,” adds Nancy Rechcigl, field technical manager for Syngenta. “Plants are protected immediately when used preventively. Even used curatively, Medallion WDG will slow disease development,” she said.
