Vaughan’s Horticulture Grows North American Sales Team
Vaughan’s Horticulture, a division of McHutchison Horticultural Distributors, is expanding its North American sales team with two new hires. Galen Dokter has been hired as the newest sales representative in the Mountain States and Marty Moore has been hired for the Southeastern U.S. Both representatives have a long history selling in the industry, with 44 years of combined experience selling in their respective territories.
Dokter comes from Dutch roots with his family having been involved in horticulture for the last four generations. He is a graduate of Iowa Lakes College with a degree in horticulture and plant science as well as graduate of Northwest Iowa College with a degree in agri-business management.
Dokter will help expand the Vaughan’s company into new customers and broaden the company’s support to key accounts in the Rocky Mountain territory. He will be filling a new sales territory, working to assist growers with crop planning and providing plant materials to customers in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico and northeast Utah.
Marty Moore graduated from North Carolina State University in 1980, with a bachelor of science in horticulture science. He began his horticulture sales and consulting career in 1991 with Ball Seed in Georgia and Florida. In 1996 he began with Michell’s where he served the same territory for more than 20 years.
Moore and his wife Wanda will be working as a team to expand the Vaughan’s sales team into the Southeast. Moore has extensive experience in greenhouse plants, Deep South perennials and grasses.
