Cornell University and New York Flower Industries invite you to attend their 9th annual Floriculture Field Day, taking place on Tuesday, July 19 at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.

Sometimes it seems like selling plants is even more important than growing them – the morning program this year will center on a marketing theme. Attendees will hear from individuals that have found creative ways to wholesale, retail and direct market their products.

The afternoon will be spent viewing annual and perennial trials at Bluegrass Lane. Participants can walk the trial beds at their leisure or join the informal guided tours. Be sure to enter container designs into the Kathy Pufahl Memorial Container contest. The day will end with an ice cream social and the announcement of the container contest winners.

More information including an online registration form can be found at: http://www.greenhouse.cornell.edu/calendar/floriculture_field_day.htm.
