OHP Inc. will participate in the upcoming California Spring Trials, April 6 to 11, 2013, with an exhibit at American Takii in Salinas.

OHP will demonstrate the results of its plant growth regulators on perennials and annuals such as Takii’s Opera Supreme petunias, lantana, geraniums, calibrachoa, sedums, kales, delphiniums, pennisetum (grass) and a new campanula variety.

In addition, OHP will exhibit weed control plots featuring its new pre-emergent herbicide Marengo. There will be demonstration test plots highlighting weed control on hoop house floors and trials showing the results of perimeter Marengo treatments around the greenhouse.

OHP will also demonstrate the effect of its PGR Augeo on poinsettias in place of a pinch. The effect of Augeo on double Knock Out Roses, sponsored by Northwest Horticulture, will be on display.

OHP Senior Technical Manager Dave Barcel will coordinate the event and newest team member, Technical Manager Dr. Carlos Bográn, will be available to discuss insect and disease management issues.

“We’re excited to once again be a small part of the spring trials,” said Barcel, who will be participating in his 18th event. “American Takii is a great host and a destination spot.”
