Organization Honors Plant PathologistSource: Chase Horticultural Research

Ann Chase of Chase Horticultural Research, plant pathologist and regular GPN contributor, recently received the APS Fellow Award, the American Phytopathological Society‘s highest honor.

The society bestowed this honor upon Chase in recognition of her distinguished contributions to plant pathology or to the American Phytopathological Society, based on significant contributions in one or more of the following areas: original research, teaching, administration, professional and public service, and/or extension and outreach.

Recipients of this honor receive a certificate and recognition granted to only a few society members. For a look at just one of Chase’s contributions to plant pathology, check out her column with Margery Daughtrey of Cornell University, “This Month in Diseases,” in every issue of GPN magazine. Congratulations to Dr. Chase on this prestigious award!
