PanAmerican Adds To Program

October 28, 2005 - 09:17

PanAmerican Seed has recently added a new partner to its Fantastic Foliage program for 2006.

The Fantastic Flowers collection features seed-grown varieties that can work for landscape, bedding and container use. This lineup creates interest for seed-grown flowering plants that can deliver the upscale consumer appeal of premium-performing products, according to PanAmerican.

Program highlights include the angelonia Serena series, nemesia Poetry series and diascia Diamonte series. Fantastic Flowers also spotlights other selections such as helenium 'Dakota Gold', linaria Enchantment and ageratum High Tide series. "All Fantastic Flowers varieties deliver great greenhouse and garden performance and outstanding retail appeal, meaning success for growers, retailers and home gardeners alike," stated PanAmerican.

The Fantastic Foliage program is also introducing some newcomers for 2006. Ornamental pepper 'Black Pearl' is the first black-leafed ornamental pepper on the market, according to PanAmerican, and ornamental millet 'Jester' is the color-changing cousin to original 'Purple Majesty'.
