Philadelphia Flower Show to Feature America in Bloom Display GardenSource: America in Bloom

For the fifth consecutive year, America in Bloom (AIB) will have a display garden at the Philadelphia Flower Show. The show will take place March 4 to March 13 in Philadelphia.

“Explore America,” this year’s theme, honors the 100th anniversary of America’s national parks. It’s also a fitting theme for America in Bloom, which honors America’s best cities in a national awards program.

AIB’s display garden coordinators, board members Evelyn Alemanni and Dale Fisher, partnered with Proven Winners, Jon Carloftis Fine Gardens, and Longwood Antique Wood to support the theme. In addition, GrowIt! will create a special app so that guests can learn more about the spectacular plants used to create the AIB garden.

“Our display garden will be filled with beautiful plants including nemesia, lobularia, a variety of grasses, and much, much more,” Alemanni said.

America in Bloom volunteers, including board members and judges, will be on hand during most of the show to greet guests and explain the AIB awards program. AIB judges Katy Moss Warner, Evelyn Alemanni, Carlo Balistrieri, and Barbara Vincentsen will also serve as flower show judges.

Details of the display garden can be found at http://americainbloom.org/Events/Philadelphia-Flower- Show-2016.aspx.
