Information on new varieties and programs, cultural tips, pricing strategies, and a presentation by Judy Sharpton (owner of Growing Places Marketing, Atlanta, Ga., and Lawn & Garden Retailer author) are some of the reasons growers and retailers may want to attend one of the several Proven Winners Roadshows in 2004. The Roadshow is a free workshop sponsored and hosted by Proven Winners. This year's Roadshow will travel to six cities in the United States beginning September 10 and ending October 1.
Attendees get a full day of open discussions that address specific aspects of growing and selling Proven Winners varieties, including the company's two new product lines, PW ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs and Proven Winners Perennials. According to Proven Winners, the program starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. There are no vendors or displays; it is just a straightforward exchange of information. There is a continental breakfast and sit-down lunch provided.
Sharpton will discuss a variety of topics on new trends, consumer preferences, etc. — she provides practical ideas to help sell product quicker.
