America In Bloom has organized a contest that helps community members better their neighborhoods. Registration for this year’s contest closes on Feb. 28.
The 8-point program works to improve tidiness, heritage awareness, environmental programs and overall landscaping. More than 130 towns and cities across the United States have already benefited from participating in America In Bloom.
Towns that participate in AIB receive detailed evaluations from their judges; they will mention projects they admire and offer suggestions for further enhancements. Evaluations can be used to bring specific needs to the attention of the local government and to support grant applications.
