Jason Pitts recently joined Cannon Equipment as vice president of finance.
He earned his MBA from Arizona State University; prior to joining Cannon Equipment, he was director of finance for the Honeywell International’s Sensing and Controls test and measurement division.
“Introducing Jason into this senior role is critical to the success of our business as we look to achieve significant growth in the coming years,” said Cannon President Chuck Gruber.
Jason is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and has an extensive background in plant factory controllership and business development, specifically with mergers and acquisitions.
Pitts will work from Cannon Equipment’s headquarters in Rosemount, Minn.

Hawaiian Tropical Flower & Plant Guide
A new guide aimed at “everyone who loves flowers” will wow readers with the beauty and diversity of Hawaii’s exotic tropical flowers and lush foliage.
NEOTROPICA: Hawaii Tropical Flower & Plant Guide is geared to floral designers, wholesalers and retailers; event planners; garden club enthusiasts; and fresh-flower aficionados.
The 128-page book features four-color photos taken on location in Hawaii and offers valuable info on product nomenclature, availability and seasonality. It will debut July 12 at the American Institute of Floral Designers Symposium  in Kansas City. The Hawaii Export Nursery Association will promote the book and share ordering info July 12 and 13 at the Ohio State Florist Association’s Interiorscape Expo in Columbus.
Published by DESIGN358, a Vancouver-based floral event and management company, NEOTROPICA is co-authored by floral designer Lois Hiranaga, AIFD, of Maui and photographer Colin Gilliam.
Helping sponsor the initial 5,000 copies is a collaboration of Hawaii floricultural commodity groups: Hawaii Florists and Shippers Assn., Hawaii Tropical Flower Council, Orchid Growers of Hawaii, HENA, Hawaii Anthurium Industry Association, Hawaii Tropical Flower and Foliage Association — Kauai Chapter, Maui Flower Growers Association and Big Island Protea Growers Corporation.
