A new series of online water quality and recycling webinars will help growers successfully manage water quality issues and recycle irrigation water. The series of 30-minute live presentations will feature both new research and practical guidelines.
This education program to promote water conservation is co-sponsored by the
Water Education Alliance for Horticulture (a collaborative program hosted by the University of Florida with industry partners), OFA – as Association of Horticulture Professionals, the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association, the Society of American Florists and the Horticultural Research Institute of ANLA.
Dr. Robert Wick, a professor of plant pathology at the University of Massachusetts, will present the next webinar, “Biology of Waterborne Pathogens,” on Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. ET. Dr. Wick has considerable research experience with control of waterborne pathogens, in addition to his extension expertise in helping growers to solve practical disease issues.
