Wouldn’t you like to have a crystal ball that you could peer into to see what the future might look like? Wouldn’t it be nice to know which direction the horticulture industry is headed?
Your job would be so much easier if you had access to that type of information, wouldn’t it?
GPN’s inaugural 40 Under 40 is kind of like that crystal ball. This 40 Under 40 list is made up of industry professionals you need to keep an eye on because they are going to make things happen in the coming years.
These individuals are some of the major players who will help determine where the industry is going and how we are going to get there. And they are doing it right now.
Turn to page 14 to learn more about who they are, what they are doing and what you might expect to see happening in the years to come.
The men and women on our 40 Under 40 list were nominated by their peers for their achievements so far in their careers and for the potential of where their careers are headed.
If you think you know somebody that might qualify for this list (and won’t turn 40 until next year) be sure to nominate them for our Class of 2013. We will be calling for nominations later this fall.
Scholarship Program Available Again
Do you know a college student working on a horticulture related degree? Are they looking for some financial assistance in their academic endeavors? If you do, you should let them know about Syngenta’s scholarship program.
This summer, Syngenta will once again be awarding two $7,500 scholarships — one to a college student (undergraduate, graduate or doctorate level) working on a degree in plant breeding and the other to a student pursuing a degree in horticulture business.
Turn to page 8 to learn more about the eligibility requirements and deadlines for the scholarship program.
