Calibrachoa

Aloha Kona calibrachoa is a more compact sub-series of the successful Aloha calibrachoa line. With shorter internodes and slightly less vigor than the original Aloha, these varieties are great in smaller pot production, while being versatile enough to be used in combos and hanging baskets.

The Kona, and original Aloha, series are day-length neutral, flowering at less than 11 hours of daylight. Requiring little to no growth regulators, Kona is easy to grow. When growing large baskets or vigorous combinations (where other plants might need growth regulators) original Aloha is a preferred choice.

General production techniques are the same as with Aloha Calibrachoa, however growth regulator applications are discouraged early, and most likely not needed near finish, especially when conditions are good. Providing high light, cool temperatures and a negative DIF can improve plant form.

Plant one plant per pot in a 4-inch pot, two to three plants in an 8-inch pot, and three to four plants in a hanging basket. Pinch or shear liners — additional pinching should not be needed. Baskets will be completely full of color and tighter for easier shipping.
