This new duo, ‘Patchwork Peach Prism’ and ‘Patchwork Pink Shades’, boasts distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns that are ideal for premium programs. These low-maintenance plants are mounded, well-branched and spreading, with non-stop flowers all season. These new varieties are strong performers in shady baskets, mixed containers, planters and landscapes.

During propagation, avoid using saturated media. Reduce mist as soon as possible. To reduce stretch, transplant on time.

Start feeding immediately after transplanting. Avoid water stress in all stages of crop. Avoid cold stress (night temperatures below 65° F). Maintain EC about 1.0. A light Bonzi (paclobutrazol) drench when plant is three-quarters of finish size will promote flowering above the foliage.

Bonzi at 5 to 15 ppm is effective for height control. Florel (ethephon) at 100 to 300 ppm can be used to improve branching but will not usually be needed.

The most important insect problem associated with Patchwork impatiens is Impatiens Necrotic Spot Virus (INSV). Control of thrips is necessary to avoid INSV.
