Twenty-nine unique colors are available in the pansy Inspire series. Bred for extreme weather conditions, these showy flowers are ideal for spring and fall production. They exhibit a compact habit and narrow flowering window. Inspire pansies may be used for landscape, bedding and mixed containers. In the garden, they grow to about 5 inches tall. They prefer sun to partial shade.
Three to five weeks after sowing, transplant one plant into a 3- to 4-inch pot or packs. The water and nutrition supply can be controlled better in large pots.
Use a well-drained growing substrate with a pH of 5.5 to 6.2. Low fertilization levels are required. The roots are sensitive to high salt levels in substrates.
Grow at 50 to 59° F or outdoors. Cultivate as cold as possible for good compact growth. Temperatures above 64° F may cause stretching of shoots.
