Project Evergreen Calls For NomineesSource: Project EverGreen

Project Evergreen is seeking nominees for its 2007 Because Green Matters awards program. The awards program recognizes a company, organization or individual that promotes the beneficial effects of green spaces.

Commenting on the award, Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen, said, “Green spaces have an impact on every aspect of our lives. Our environment, economy and lifestyle are all improved by well-maintained green spaces.”

The award is presented each year on Earth Day, April 22. Southern Land Company, Franklin, Tenn., was named the winner of Project Evergreen’s 2006 Because Green Matters award.

All entries are judged by a group of independent judges. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2007. Additional information on the 2007 awards program is available at www.projectevergreen.com.
