Riverview Flower Farm has launched a blog and updated its website to better serve customers.

The company’s brand, Florida Friendly Plants, is marketed to Home Depots throughout most of Florida. The website’s goal is to help Florida gardeners be successful with plant selection, use and design. The blog will feature plants that can be found in stores every season by season and emphasize the benefits of an environmentally friendly approach to Florida gardening.

Riverview Flower Farm uses sustainable production practices. Their soil mix is formulated with compost and inoculated with beneficial micro-organisms that protect roots from disease and increase fertilizer efficiency. Techniques such as biological pest prevention and drip irrigation earned Riverview Flower Farm the Commissioner of Agriculture’s Environmental Leadership Award in 2006.
