At the Society of American Florists’ (SAF) annual convention, which takes place Sept. 9-12, in Amelia Island, Florida, industry members can get firsthand insight from Google executives. The education session, “Demystifying Google” will be led by solutions architect Loren Hudziak, who explains how local search and local businesses are tied to the company’s underlying goal of becoming the “data fabric” woven into consumer’s digital lives. Attendees can also hear Hudziak’s perspective on: -Where Google is headed and why it matters to floral businesses -How mobile technology is changing everything -How Google tools can help small local businesses get an edge over larger competitors Google executive Ben Polk will join Hudziak for a session titled “All About AdWords and Analytics”. SAF CEO Renato Sogueco will moderate the discussion, which covers two of Google’s e-commerce tools; Adwords Express and Analytics. Hudziak and Polk explain how to use Google tools to make a big online impact quickly without spending a lot of money. A case study of Karin’s Florist in Vienna, Virginia will be used as a reference.
