Southern Living Announces New Varieties for Spring 2011Source: Agility Marketing Group

The debut varieties for Spring 2011 include a variety of new shrubs, a Yaupon holly tree, heat tolerant rhododendrons and early-blooming crapemyrtles.

Plant Development Services, Inc. and Southern Living announced new additions to the Southern Living Plant Collection for spring 2011. The Collection is available through retail garden centers across the Southeast.

The debut varieties for Spring 2011 include a variety of new shrubs, a Yaupon holly tree, heat tolerant rhododendrons and early-blooming crapemyrtles.

New for Spring 2011:

Shrubs: Soft Caress Malonia, Big Daddy Hydrangea, Mojo Pittosporum

Tree: Scarlet’s Peak Ilex Yaupon Holly

Rhododendrons: Southgate Brandi Rhododendron, Southgate Breezy Rhododendron, Southgate Radiance Rhododendron, Southgate Divine Rhododendron, Southgate Grace Rhododendron

Crapemyrtles: Early Bird Crapemyrtles in Purple, Lavender and White
