Speakers and Tracks Announced for 2008 Chesapeake Green Horticultural Symposium
The wheels are churning furiously as the Maryland Nursery and Landscape Association, in conjunction with the Maryland Greenhouse Growers Association and the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension, puts the finishing touches on the 2008 Chesapeake Green Horticultural Symposium.
The symposium, slated to take place Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 6 and 7, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., will feature 44 speakers sharing their expertise on a wealth of topics important to the industry. The topics will be divided into the following green industry”related tracks:
- Garden Center
- Greenhouse
- Nursery
- Landscape
- Management and Technology
- Interiorscape Technology
- Interiorscape Recertification
- Business Marketing Commercial Applicators
- Pesticide Recertification
- Nutrient Management
- Aquatics
- Weed Management
This year’s speaker will be Bill Doeckel, general manager of Ball Innovations, a business division of Ball Horticultural dedicated to pioneering new approaches for the horticulture industry.
The 2007 symposium had more than 200 attendees from five states and D.C., and many sessions sold out.
