Talkin’ Trends and Opportunities
This week I am hitting the road and heading to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to attend the Griffin Grower & Retailer Expo.
While I am there I will be moderating a panel discussion on “Success in the Modern Marketplace.”
During this session, Dr. Bridget Behe, Michigan State University; Bob Friedl, Hicks Nurseries; Marshall Dirks, Proven Winners; and Kristi Huffman, Multi Packaging Solutions, will be discussing some of the hottest trends impacting growers and retailers today, as well as some of the opportunities they may want to take advantage of in their businesses.
We introduced this panel discussion at Griffin’s first expo in August in Massachusetts. Among the topics we covered were the shifting demographics of today’s gardeners/plant purchasers, the demand for edibles, outdoor living and small space gardening.
The panel’s perspectives were both intriguing and insightful, so I am really looking forward to a lively conversation in Lancaster.
