UW-Madison Announces Launch of Horticultural WebsiteSource: Wisconsin Ag News

Time is money, the old saying goes. With that in mind, the University of Wisconsin-Madison recently launched a website that compiles horticultural resources, saving growers the time and trouble of searching for individual sources.

The website links users to information from the industry, professional organizations and educational institutions. It also posts a calendar of events and a forum for questions and answers. Users can subscribe to portions of the site to interact, be notified of new items and receive the bi-weekly newsletter.

“A grower doesn’t have time to sit and surf the Web looking for the information they need,” said Outreach Specialist Eileen Nelson, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, to Wisconsin Ag News. “The goal is to serve as a hub, accumulating the latest information on topics like production, marketing and management.”

Anyone can visit the website; however, some basic information is needed to participate in the forum. Registration provides information to help the website meet the needs of its users. Visit the website to learn more at http://www.wisconsinornamentals.com.
