Florida Governor Recognizes Florikan E.S.A.
Florikan E.S.A., Sarasota, Fla., recently received Florida’s 2006 Governor’s Business Diversification Award for business expansion in a major market. Florida Gov. Jeb Bush presented the award to Florikan for the company’s efforts to diversify and enrich the state’s economy by creating jobs and investing in the community.
Briggs Nursery Opens New Micropropagation Lab
Briggs Nursery, Elam Wash., recently opened a new tissue culture facility. The new lab has expanded from a capacity of 9 million plants at a previous site to more than 17 million plants at the new facility. Briggs also opened a new 52,000 sq.ft. greenhouse in May.
