AIB Prepares For Short Course, Re-Elects OfficersSource: AIB

Four key fundraisers supporting the non-profit organization America In Bloom (AIB) will be held in conjunction with this year’s OFA Short Course, July 14-17, 2007, in Columbus, Ohio. AIB chose this venue for the fundraisers because OFA has provided the home and administrative support to nurture AIB from its inception.

Attendees can participate in and support the following fundraisers:

  • 7th Annual Dramm/OFA 5K Relay/Walk – 7:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14.
  • D.S. Cole Growers Hockey in Columbus – 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 16.
  • A chance to win $5,000 in a raffle in which only 500 tickets will be sold!

Those interested in purchasing raffle tickets can access the ticket order form by clicking here. Each $100 raffle ticket is good for a chance to win the cash prizes.

In preparation for the coming events, AIB announced the re-election of its officers and three board members at its March 16 annual meeting. Marvin Miller of Ball Horticultural Company was re-elected as president; Stan Pohmer of Pohmer Consulting was re-elected as vice president; and John R. Holmes of OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals was re-elected as the secretary/treasurer.

In addition to Holmes, immediate past president Ron Pierre of Oberlin, Ohio, and Delilah Onofrey of Meister Media Worldwide were re-elected to another 3-year term on the board.
