Arizona Repeals QuarantineSource: Arizona Department Of Agriculture

By the order of the Director’s Administrative Order of the Plant Services Division at the Arizona Department Of Agriculture the Bemisia tabaci Biotype Q whitefly quarantine order has been repealed.

The quarantine order made on May 4, 2005 prohibited entry of all plant material except underground plant parts and seed from any facility known by the California Department of Food and Agriculture to be infested with Bemisia tabaci Biotype Q.

According to the Arizona Department Of Agriculture, it has been determined that there is no longer an imminent risk of Bemisia tabaci Biotype Q whitefly infestation to Arizona. For more information contact the Arizona Department of Agriculture at www.agriculture.state.az.us.
