Cleary Hosts Spanish-Speaking Educational SeminarSource: Cleary Chemical Corporation

In an effort to better meet the needs of their Spanish speaking greenhouse and nursery employees, Cleary Chemical recently hosted a two-day educational seminar on proper handling and application of chemicals.

The seminar, conducted in Spanish in Wimauma, Fla., covered the areas of pesticide safety and diagnostics review of insect damage. The pesticide safety portion of the seminar highlighted how properly to read a product label, proper protective equipment to use when mixing, how to load and mix product and how to avoid spills and contamination.

A diagnostic review of insect damage provided information regarding the four to give most common insects in greenhouses and nurseries, what insects cause certain types of damage and the damage signs to look for.

In addition to hosting the seminars, Cleary has also begun translating the MSDS for all of their products in Spanish.

Cleary plans to offer the seminars to growers in other areas of the country in the near future. For more information, contact Marketing Director Bill Cunningham at (800) 524-1662 ext. 1033 or visit http://www.clearychemical.com/.
