The 2014 Farwest Trade Show, Aug. 21-23 in Portland, Oregon, has scheduled a seminar to look at some of the industry’s most current and critical emerging greenhouse technologies. The seminar, Using New Technologies to Optimize the Greenhouse Environment for Efficiency and Increased Profitability, will showcase systems and methods that have shown potential to enhance growing conditions and serve to increase efficiencies and dramatically increase profitability.

The meeting will be conducted by Lloyd Traven, partner, Peace Tree Farm and Al Zylstra, division manager, DRAMMwater, a division of Dramm Corp. Technologies not only apply to propagation and regular potted production but also are fully applied to nursery production.

Traven and Zylstra will inform attendees about incredible sensor technology that can literally make irrigation as precise as setting a cruise control, revolutionary new methods for total disinfection and oxygenation of irrigation water, using systems with virtually no ongoing expenses after installation, and a full range of lighting possibilities.

To learn more about the seminar from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 21, or other events, visit www.FarwestShow.com.
