Future EPA Web Portal Linking Retailers to Environmental InformationSource: Progressive Grocer

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been working on a web portal designed to streamline information about environmental compliance, sustainability and pollution prevention relevant to the retail industry. The EPA has worked with the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) along with other groups in the past several months to develop the portal, which is set to launch later this year.

“Sustainability is a key issue and a top concern for RILA and our member companies,” said Casey Chroust, RILA’s senior vice president for retail operations. “This portal will serve as a clearinghouse for information to further advance the industry’s efforts to apply sustainable practices.”
