Goldsmith Gives Growers a First Hand LookSource: Goldsmith Seeds

One of Goldsmith Seeds key goals is to provide growers with the most current marketing and cultural information to help maximize profits. With this in mind, Goldsmith held its second annual Grower Days in Gilroy, Calif. in July. The 3-day event was packed with activities; extensive field trials were utilized for growers to learn about new and existing product lines and growers were invited to meet with the breeding, research, production, plant pathology and sales and marketing groups.

” We invited top level growers from across the country who excel in growing and are interested in gaining additional knowledge,” said Joel Goldsmith, president, Goldsmith Seeds.

” The Technical Service Group along with the entire Goldsmith team is dedicated to building new and stronger relationships with growers. Grower Days involves an intimate group of growers and is a great way to strengthen these relationships,” said Tom Linwick, Goldsmith Seeds product technical manager.

“It was beneficial to gain valuable insight into Goldsmith’s breeding and marketing programs as this information influences how Goldsmith products fit into our operation,” said first-time attendee Jean Goldsmith, manager plug production, Colorama Wholesale Nursery.

“It’s critical that we do not lose sight of the fact that building relationships is a key part of our business; so we incorporate an afternoon of activities to choose from such as golf, fishing, sight-seeing, etc.,” says Ron Garofalo, Goldsmith director of sales & marketing.
