Have a Field Day!Source: Cornell

Explore, discover, and design at the Cornell Floriculture Field Day, on July 22, in Ithaca, N.Y. View and discuss annuals and perennials, discover creative uses of plant material and enter your design in the fifth annual Kathy Pufahl Container Design Competition.

The day will begin on the campus of Cornell University with featured speaker Dr. Rick Schoellhorn, Proven Winners’ director of new products. He will discuss new and exciting plants and their use in the landscape. Other speakers will discuss insect control and nutrient disorders of the greenhouse and landscape.

For the afternoon, head to Bluegrass Lane, an off-campus research facility, to browse the more than 1,000 perennials and annuals on display. You can also take a look at the container gardens submitted for the container design competition.
