With the addition of three talented executives from the “who’s who” of horticulture, Hines Nurseries is poised to become a leading progressive company in the nursery business. Joining the Hines Nurseries LLC executive management team are Steve Thigpen, president and chief executive officer; Joe Gray, chief operating officer; and Mike Trebing, senior VP of sales and marketing.

New president and CEO Thigpen, who earned a doctorate in plant physiology, has more than 25 years’ experience in the horticulture industry. “I love the company and what Hines stands for: quality, reliability and integrity,” he said. “I’m eager to revitalize our company and forge ahead to grow the business.”

Gray, the new COO, has more than 20 years’ experience as a nursery/horticulture executive; and Trebing, new senior VP, comes to Hines with 25 years of experience in sales and marketing.

As of January 2009, Hines Nurseries LLC purchased certain of the assets of the former Hines entities. The Company successfully emerged from bankruptcy with less debt.
