Hydroponic Greenhouse Tomato Production Intensive Course to Meet in January

The University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center will host its annual Hydroponic Greenhouse Tomato Production Intensive Course this January in Tucson, Arizona.

The University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC) will host its annual Hydroponic Greenhouse Tomato Production Intensive Course Jan. 4 to Jan. 9, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona.

The course will focus on growing tomatoes hydroponically in a greenhouse and will be taught by hydroponic specialist Pat Rorabaugh, Ph.D., with a special lecture from controlled environment agriculture expert Merle Jensen, Ph.D.

The Tomato Intensive Course will begin with a tour of the CEAC facilities and the first lecture introducing CEA and hydroponics.

The course includes over 12 hours of training in a hydroponic greenhouse, and over 30 hours of discussion and lecture.

It will also feature a round table discussion with greenhouse engineers, where students can ask experts questions regarding their greenhouse design and operations.
