IPPS Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Meeting
The International Plant Propagators Society (IPPS) will hold its 50th Anniversary Event of the Western Regional Meeting from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at San Diego’s Crowne Plaza Hotel Circle.
The first day will feature nursery tours of some of the area’s most progressive growers, including Atlman Plants, Sherman Nursery, Village Nurseries, Hines Horticulture and First Step Greenhouse.
Half-day educational sessions will run Oct. 1 through Oct. 3. Some of the nation’s premiere horticulturalists will cover the latest developments in areas such as plant breeding, plant selection, propagation techniques, production tips and new plant development.
Afternoon conference tours will also give attendees the chance to discover firsthand why the San Diego area is so influential in floriculture and horticulture production. The tours will visit Rancho Tissue Technologies, Kent’s Bromeliads, Plug Connection, EuroAmerican Propagators, Green Meadow Growers, Olive Hill Nursery, Sunlet Nursery and Quail Botanical Gardens.
