Hamilton Engineering Celebrates 25 Years

Hamilton Engineering, a provider of hot water boilers to the greenhouse industry, is observing its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1981 by current president Jeff Deal and his wife, Diana, the company has grown to become a recognized leader in serving the laundry industry.

According to Jeff, the success of the company can be attributed to three basic premises greenhouse owners were asking for when he entered the business. The first was the ability to obtain a reliable and efficient heating boiler system to meet the rigorous heating demands of the greenhouse. The second request was for quick and helpful technical and service support when needed. Finally, greenhouse owners wanted quick delivery of their heating systems.

Today, Hamilton operates out of a 75,000 sq.ft. facility in Livonia, Mich., and has over 30 employees, which is “a long way from one salesman and a part-time secretary,” Jeff said. The company has diversified somewhat into other industries, but “a major focus has and always will be the greenhouse industry” he continued.
