MSU Extension Reports Impatiens Downy Mildew in MichiganSource: Michigan State University Extension

Michigan State University Extension is reporting that impatiens downy mildew has been reported in four Michigan counties as well as in three nearby states.

Michigan State University Extension is reporting that impatiens downy mildew has been reported in four Michigan counties as well as in three nearby states.

According to a brief posted by Dr. Mary Hausbeck posted on the MSU Extension website, the downy mildew pathogen, Plasmopara obducens, has been confirmed in greenhouses in four different Michigan counties “and the losses were nearly 100 percent.”
