5th Annual Hockey Game
In just a few more days hockey players from the horticulture will gather in Columbus, Ohio, and DS Cole Growers will present the 5th annual “Hockey in Columbus.” Each year, the proceeds go to a separate research fund within FIRST designated for marketing within the green industry. This year, due to the NHL lockout, the arena has removed the ice from the rink but the game will still go on – playing street hockey instead of ice hockey.
Last year’s game raised almost $15,000, and the sponsors continue to give generously each year.
Attention future sponsors: DS Cole Growers is always looking for new sponsors. Each sponsor has their name and logo on all printed materials.
The game is held the practice rink at the Nationwide Arena on Monday night from 6-9 p.m., with the game beginning around 6:30 p.m. Drinks and hors d’ oeuvres will be available during the game.
