‘Shark Skin’ Wins at Farwest

A Euro-American succulent won “Best Tropical/Tender Perennial” in the 2008 New Varieties Showcase at Farwest.

Agave hybrid ‘Shark Skin’, from the company’s Retro Succulents collection, stole the show. Eye-catching characteristics include thick, shark-like skin, evenly spaced leaves that boast exceptional smoothness with a blue-green sheen and taper to black, and prominent and sturdy terminal spines. ‘Shark Skin’ forms a basal cluster of upright leaves. It makes a great container plant and adds architectural design to any garden.
