Costa Farms Schedules Summer Showdown Garden Open House
Costa Farms will open its 2-acre Trial Garden on August 13, 2014 for its annual Summer Showdown Garden Open House.
This years Trial Garden will feature six sets of thematic gardens including butterfly, hummingbird, tropical-style, foliage, magenta-pink, and easy-care gardens for beginners.
Visitors will see plants in lush landscape beds, a living wall, in hanging basket trials (to see which plants and combinations stand up to summer heat and humidity) and more than 400 plant varieties from breeders around the world.
“Our Summer Garden is an excellent time for visitors to evaluate plants for high temperature, heavy rain and humidity tolerance,” says Justin Hancock, garden expert at Costa Farms. “Plants that demonstrate success in this garden will survive in just about any zone.”
The Costa Farms staff will be on hand to give tours and answer any questions regarding the gardens.
The Trial Garden is located at Costa Farms Costa Color Division, 19995 SW 194th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33187.
The Garden will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
