Darwin Perennials Day Set for June
Darwin Perennials Day will take place June 18, 2014 at The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Ill., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Darwin Perennials Day will take place June 18, 2014 at The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Ill., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 30 suppliers will be on-site presenting their 2014 lineups.
The event will also feature Information Stations for discussions and demonstrations, including:
- New 2015 Introductions from Darwin Perennials
- New 2015 first-year-flowering seed perennials from Kieft Seed
- TC liner and bare-root raised Hosta comparisons
- Mixed container recipes using perennials on display
- New variety focus on woody shrubs from Ball Ornamentals
- Perennial Display Garden tours
- Premier Seed Lab tours
A barbecue lunch will be served at noon, followed by guest speaker Paul Pilon, with a presentation titled, “Succeeding With New, Old and Underutilized Perennials.”
