Dümmen USA has announced that its interspecific geranium, formerly known as Salsarita, has been renamed Sarita and three new colors have been added to the series.

Red Fox Sarita is the same dark-leafed, single-flower interspecific that impressed growers and trial gardens alike last year.

But now, three new colors have been added to the original two in the series – ‘Lilac Splash’, ‘Punch’ and ‘Wild Salmon’ join ‘Dark Red’ and ‘Pink’. The new name, Sarita, means “princess” in Spanish.

Last season, Sarita won the Penn State Trials award for Best Geranium. At the Four Oaks Trade Show in England it won the award for Best New Plant Introduction.

The three new introductions, as well as the original two, are heat tolerant and self-cleaning. They are best used in pots, deco containers or even as flowering ground cover.
