Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc., Lowell, Ore., has established its initial network of growers poised to grow and distribute the BrazelBerries Collection of small ornamental berry shrubs to garden retailers. The network of BrazelBerries’ growers includes Fisher Farms, McCorkle Nurseries, Monrovia, Overdevest Nurseries, Prides Corner Farms and Willoway Nurseries.

“The response from our network of growers has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic” says Amelie Brazelton Aust, new products manager and second-generation owner of Fall Creek Farm & Nursery. “These well-known names within our industry are recognized for high-quality standards and impressive distribution networks already in place.”

The new ornamental berry shrubs include a thornless dwarf raspberry named Raspberry Shortcake, and two ornamental blueberry shrubs: Peach Sorbet, a compact blueberry with bright peach spring foliage, and Jelly Bean , a super hardy dwarf puffball blueberry.

The collection was bred specifically for home gardeners’ landscapes, patios and small outdoor spaces. These three plants will be available in limited distribution for home gardeners later this year and in 2013.

BrazelBerries plants will initially be sold only at independent garden centers in 1-gallon and larger sizes with beautifully branded pots and tags.
