GGS Structures Inc. has been chosen by Google to try its new Google Glass device, a wearable computer that projects a screen in front of the user’s eye. Google Glass is currently in prototype stages and is not yet available to the general public. GGS plans to first test this device extensively and look for ways growers can use Google Glass in their day-to-day processes. They are also looking at the possibilities of using the device in their manufacturing plant to simplify tasks and increase accuracy and efficiency in production. The company has been writing articles and blog posts on the future of the greenhouse industry and how devices like Google Glass will help growers increase efficiency in their operations and reduce costs.
