Harrell’s, manufacturer and supplier of high-quality grower products, is now offering greenhouse, nursery and specialty crop growers throughout Florida premium peat moss and peat-based growing mixes. Harrell’s acquired a peat bog containing more than 9 million cubic yards of certified, nematode-free, 100 percent organic Florida peat.

Harrell’s has numerous technical field reps throughout Florida that bring media, fertility, pest management and water quality expertise to the grower market. “We already supply Harrell’s branded fertilizers, foliar spray adjuvants and wetting agents,” said Rick Helpingstone, president of Harrell’s Horticultural Products and vice president of Harrell LLC. “When we saw the exceptional quality of this peat, it made sense for us to expand our offerings to include Harrell’s branded peat and peat-based mixes.”

Since Harrell’s owns the bog, they control the harvesting process and quality of all the ingredients going into their mixes.
