From the latest cultivation techniques to a 13,000-stem display, if your business involves lilies or floral design you don’t want to miss Lilytopia! The one-day symposium is set to take place on May 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Penn. Registration deadline is May 17.

Learn about cultivation techniques, case studies of sustainable approaches to lily production, the use of genetic dwarf cultivars to reduce the need for growth regulators, growing bulbs without pesticides and reduced nutrient and energy inputs, and using consumers’ interest in sustainability to strengthen your product in the marketplace. This is a great chance to learn, grow and establish key industry connections during Lilytopia 2011 at Longwood Gardens.

And while at the symposium, enjoy one of the world’s largest lily shows, featuring many new varieties never before seen in North America. More than 13,000 stems, grown and shipped directly from the Netherlands, transform the Longwood Conservatory into a lily showcase like no other.
