New England Grows’ Debuts Tailored Retail Seminar
New England Grows adds a one-day intensive seminar tailored to garden center professionals, covering retail trends, proven business strategies and merchandising tips.
In addition to its three-day line up of 30 business-building seminars, the New England Grows show (Boston) will launch Garden Center Success! on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This new one-day intensive seminar is tailored specifically to the needs of garden center professionals.
Garden Center Success! will feature retail expert and trend spotter Anne Obarski of Merchandise Concepts in Dublin, Ohio; Jonn “J-Dog” Karsseboom of The Garden Corner in Tualatin, Ore.; Ken Lain of Watters Garden Center in Prescott, Ariz.; and facilitator Jon Hockman of The d3 Group in Washington, D.C. Participants will gain an understanding of real world retail trends; interact with peers who are getting it done in their independent garden centers; and develop action plans to increase sales, optimize their merchandising and keep their people in peak performance mode.
“Expect a high-impact, result-driven learning experience,” said Rich Clark of Clark Farms in Wakefield, R.I. and New England Grows’ education co-chairman. “If you’re a key player at an independent garden center, you need to be at Garden Center Success!”
New England Grows will also feature a trade exposition of more than 600 vendors showcasing solution-based products, technologies and services for the green industry. There is no additional charge to participate in the Garden Center Success!, but seating is limited and advance registration is required. To learn more and to register, visit www.NewEnglandGrows.org.
