The fire occurred during the early morning hours of Jan. 21, affecting a 1-acre range (less than 1/10 of Pleasant View’s total production).

At the time, PVG’s president Henry Huntington said the fire hit one of the company’s oldest greenhouses and it would not impact their spring production. “It’s business as usual. As much of a disaster as [the fire was], no one was hurt, and the damage was really minimal.”

In late February, Carol Huntington updated GPN on Pleasant View’s latest venture. The company is building a new 1.5-acre range of Nexus greenhouses in Pembroke, N.H. (see photo). Construction of the new range is expected to be completed by April 1.

The past few weeks have been very busy for everyone at Pleasant View. Carol also wanted to thank everyone “for their support, kind words and hard work.” She added, “It is a honor” to be a part of this industry.

Pleasant View Gardens is one of the partner companies of Proven Winners along with EuroAmerican Propagators and Four Star Greenhouses.
