Schoneveld Twello Celebrates 75 YearsSource: Schoneveld Twello

On Oct. 12, Schoneveld Twello celebrated its 75th anniversary. And because of the current economic climate, an extravagant celebration wasn’t in the cards. Instead, Schoneveld seized this opportunity to discuss the issues and share the things that add value to all links in the supply chain: the Profitable Inspiration Seminar. The event attracted a diverse range of international guests, from local administrators, growers and suppliers to young plants growers from the Netherlands, Europe and beyond.

Peter van de Pol, owner and managing director of Schoneveld, opened the seminar by emphasizing that “knowledge is power.” But it’s not just having it, but also in sharing knowledge and expertise, van de Pol said, that makes the process manageable so each link in the chain can work with a profitable product in a healthy business.

In her address, Marijke van Haaren, spokesperson for economic affairs in the province of Gelderland, went a step further: sharing knowledge is multiplying knowledge. Throughout the seminar, enthusiastic speakers — often with contradictory opinions — discussed various issues. Participants had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, form new opinions and network within the industry; they left with plenty of food for thought for the journey home.

A comprehensive summary of the knowledge seminar, including photo material, will be available soon. For more information, contact Monique van Meel at +31 (0)571 287851 or promotion@schoneveld.nl.
